Community for the 21st Century

WHAT: an interactive public conversation on the changing definitions of community and its importance in today's world.
WHY: To reflect on this topic together, and explore ideas about what community is and what it is evolving into

About the "Community for the 21st Century" conversation starters:
Peter Block, Author of Community: The Structure of Belonging, and The Abundant Community: Awakening the Power of Families and Neighborhoods, with John McKnight. Peter's work is in the restoration of communities and creating systems that restore our humanity. Peter will be supported by colleagues Charles Holmes and Louise van Rhyn.
Nancy White, author of Digital Habitats, with Etienne Wenger and John Smith. Nancy is an experienced guide in the realms of online community and e-learning, internationally recognized as an online interaction designer, facilitator and coach for distributed learning, teams and online communities. Sarah Whiteley and Maria Scordialos are stewards of the land-based community Axladitsa Avatakia in Greece. They are also Directors of Hara Practice Limited (UK) and co-founders of the Living Wholeness Institute with Vanessa Reid.
